A three-day workshop

For therapists, healers, teachers, coaches, and those who wish to live consciously with the selves and worlds they create and destroy

Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 January 2020
– 10am to 6pm each day

This workshop requires participants to have already started on their journey of self-development so that the experiences for individuals and the whole group can be as deep and useful as possible. There is no requirement to have attended Anne and Marcus’s previous workshops, but a readiness and capacity for intensive work.
If you are not sure whether you are ready, please contact Anne (annehoye7@gmail.com) or Marcus (marcus@healingishere.com) to discuss further.

Workshop Aims

  • Discover the sense of continuity in the one spirit that is You, traversing many worlds and dimensions

  • Explore the continuum of dissociation from daydreaming to Dissociative Identity Disorder, through neuroscience and physical experiences

  • Take part in experientials to discover, connect with, and integrate the other selves we (often unconsciously) create, such as the Shadow Self and Idealised Self

  • Explore the physiological and neuroscientific dying processes that give rise to our human form and consciousness: all that we have already sacrificed and let go of in order to live in this moment

  • …and much more

Participant number: strictly limited to 25

Facilitators: Anne Hoye & Marcus Sorensen

Anne Hoye

As far back as she can remember, Anne has been on an extraordinary journey through her ordinary life. She believes this to be the way for many beings in our world today. Some wonder what is the purpose of this life, some search for their individual purpose. Many have a vague soul-stirring or ravenous hunger to “Know Thyself”, which pulls them onto a road more and more travelled and an extraordinary journey through their ordinary lives. It is, and has been for more than 30 years, Anne’s privilege to meet, walk, support and guide for part of that journey.

Born in the north of Ireland, Anne came of age during the rise of the civil rights movement and found her commitment to nonviolent means of resolving conflict. As her life continued, she found the same nonviolent principles applied to the resolution of conflict not only between countries and cultures, but also in personal relationships and transformational work with the self.

She has travelled the world working with individuals and groups teaching and supporting personal and transpersonal growth and transformation, incorporating all the resources she has gathered from many traditions of healing work.

Anne has an eclectic background having been involved in teaching women in politics how to bring their authentic presence to each task, working as an Emergency Medical Technician in Boston, USA. She has studied Addiction Counseling at U. Mass. Boston, Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy, Shamanism from both the Celtic and Native American traditions, as well as several mystical traditions including Christian and Egyptian. In 1996 she spent time in India working with Mother Theresa’s Missionary Sisters of Charity at her home for the destitute and dying in Calcutta. Anne’s passion for the dying to do so with dignity and to support them on the bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds as they leave their bodies was ignited. This work she continues today as a Death Midwife and volunteer at Milford Hospital, MA. USA where she volunteers as a Compassionate Companion to sit vigil for those whose death is imminent.

Anne became involved with Barbara Brennan School of Healing in 1994, working with the Human Energy Consciousness System and graduated in 2000 as a teacher. She has been practicing and teaching healing and transformation through this system at BBSH Miami, Austria, Japan and England. She was Dean of the School for 2 years, and has a private practice in Holliston, USA.

Workshop Co-facilitator: Marcus Sorensen

Marcus Sorensen

Marcus Sorensen is a PhD researcher, neuropsychologist and multimodal therapist. He works to bring a biological basis of understanding to psychological processes across many aspects of life, such as consciousness and perception, while also maintaining a transpersonal perspective. In short, he enjoys working from cell to soul.

His PhD research is on interoception, which is our ability to sense our inner environment, both in terms of emotions and physical sensations that arise from inside the body such as a thumping heart or a frisson of excitement. His research will hopefully contribute to a deeper understanding of how we can develop and maintain this ability throughout life, so we can feel more connected to ourselves and others.

Marcus holds an MSc in Cognitive Psychology, a BSc in Psychology with Medical Sciences, an MA in Architecture, and a BA in Commercial Languages, as well as Diplomas in Trauma Therapy and Psychosexual and Couples Therapy. He is also an ordained interfaith minister, providing ritual and ceremony for individuals and groups.

Outside of spiritual service, work and research, Marcus enjoys spending time with his wife and baby daughter, watching the wonder of life unfolding.
