The phrase "from Cell to Soul" captures how I work. Sometimes we start with the biology of your nervous system and move towards the bigger questions of meaning, purpose, and connection. Other times we begin with the soul aspect for those more identified in the spiritual dimension, and then journey via mind to the body's living experience. Neither side is more important, both are essential.

My approach to therapy works at the intersection of neuroscience and human experience. Understanding how your nervous system works can provide new ways to understand sensations, emotions, feelings, thoughts, behaviours and beliefs, which is fundamental to unlocking choice and change.

Your body holds the history of what you have experienced. Trauma, attachment patterns, and relational dynamics are not just mental concepts: they are embodied realities that shape how your nervous system responds to the world.

Core Principles

These three principles guide how I work, informing every session and shaping the therapeutic space.

Neuropsychology-Informed

Neuropsychology-Informed

Understanding how trauma affects the brain and nervous system helps us work with your body's responses rather than against them. This is not about "mind over matter", but understanding why your nervous system responds as it does, and using that knowledge more peace and joy in being you.

Embodied Practice

Embodied Practice

Healing is not purely cognitive. We work with what your body holds, sensations, tension patterns, and nervous system responses, alongside talking therapy. Your body carries wisdom that words alone cannot access, and somatic awareness is essential to lasting therapeutic change.

Relational Healing

Relational Healing

The therapeutic relationship itself is a vehicle for healing. The rapport between us, built on trust, authenticity, and consistent presence, creates the safety necessary for you to explore difficult territory. Healing happens in connection, not isolation.

The Negentropy Approach

My therapeutic philosophy draws on the concept of negentropy: the organising principle that brings order from chaos, coherence from fragmentation. Effective therapy holds both structure and flexibility, meeting you exactly where you are.

Working Together

All sessions are conducted via Zoom, which offers several advantages: no travel time, comfort of your own space, and accessibility regardless of location. The therapeutic relationship translates well to video when there is intention and presence on both sides.

Online work requires good internet connection and a private space where you can speak freely. I will support you in creating the right setup for effective therapy.

Walk & Talk Sessions

Existing clients can arrange in-person Walk & Talk sessions on the North Kent coast between Reculver and Margate when convenient and weather allows.

What to Expect

Therapy with me is collaborative, curious, and pragmatic. I bring clinical expertise and genuine presence. You bring your experience and willingness to explore.

The initial session focuses on understanding what brings you to therapy and what you are hoping to change. At the end of this first meeting, we will develop a treatment plan together that feels right for your needs.

Sessions typically begin weekly or fortnightly, providing consistent support whilst establishing new patterns. As the work progresses and you feel more resourced, we can space sessions to every 3-4 weeks. When the therapeutic work feels complete, you are welcome to return ad hoc as needed, many clients find this flexible arrangement supportive for ongoing life challenges.

I am direct when directness serves you, gentle when gentleness is needed. I do not do performative empathy or therapeutic jargon, just honest, skilled work in service of your healing.
